Self-check-in: local or online ?

Self-check-in: local or online ?

If you’re using the Hybrid version of Divery, you have two accounts: a local account running on your computer and an online account .
Each one provides its own self-check-in link.

This guide explains the difference between the two links and how to use each one.

1. Go to the branch settings

Go to Branch Settings in either your local or online account.
Click Self Check-In link , and you’ll see the link displayed at the top.

2. Local account

When you’re using your local account (the one running on the computer in your center), the self-check-in link will start with http://localhost:8085… or http://127.0.0.1:8085… .

This tells you that the link belongs to your local account , not your online account.

The link from your local account works only inside your dive center.

  • When to use it: If a customer is already on-site and you’d like them to check in on their own smartphone, and you have a slow or no internet connection.

  • Network requirement: The customer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi or network as the computer running your local Divery account.

How to share the link

You can copy the link by clicking the clipboard left of the link.

You can download the QR code by clicking the " DOWNLOAD " button on the right.

  • Send the link directly to the customer once they’re on the same network.

  • Or print the QR code shown below the link. Customers can scan it to open the self check-in page instantly. You can download the QR code by clicking the " DOWNLOAD " button on the right.

After the customer submits their check-in, they will appear in your Waiting Customers list.

Idea
Tip: Print the QR code and place it near your front desk or check-in area so customers can scan it quickly without needing assistance.

NotesNote: When you have a fast and reliable internet connection, you can always use the online link, also inside your center. The local link is mainly for places with poor or no internet connection.

4. Online account

When you’re using your online account , the self-check-in link will start with https:// followed by your Divery domain.

Example: https://YOUR_CENTER_NAME.divery.io/...

This indicates that the link belongs to your online account , which customers can open from anywhere with internet acces. No need to be on your dive center’s Wi-Fi.

The link from your online account works anywhere with an internet connection. Perfect for customers checking in before they arrive at your dive center.

  • When to use it: Send this link to customers who want to complete their check-in from home, their hotel, or any other location.

  • No network requirement: Customers do not need to be on your dive center’s Wi-Fi.

How to share the link:

You can copy the link by clicking the clipboard left of the link.

You can download the QR code by clicking the " DOWNLOAD " button on the right.

  • Include it in booking confirmation emails or messages.

  • Post it on your website or social media for easy access.

  • Provide it via text or email if a customer requests it.

After the customer submits their check-in, they will appear in your Waiting Customers list, ready for quick processing when they arrive.

Idea
Tip: Add the link or a QR code to your booking confirmations so guests can check in ahead of time and save time at the counter.
