Connect Mailchimp with Divery

Learn how to connect your Mailchimp account with Divery.

Mailchimp is a marketing tool with endless possibilities. You can use it to send newsletters, reminders before a customer arrives, thank you notes after they depart, birthday wishes, marketing emails, and much more. To learn more about Mailchimp, visit  www.mailchimp.com .


1. Go to the branch settings

Go to the branch settings under the "Management" tab.



2. Click on "Mailchimp"

Click on " Mailchimp " or scroll down until you find the settings for Mailchimp



3. Connect Mailchimp account

To connect a Mailchimp account, you will need to add the following details in the settings:

  • Your Mailchimp API key. If you don't know how to find it, click here .

  • Your Mailchimp instance, which is usually " us " followed by a number. If you are logged into your account, it's the characters before the first " . " in the address bar (example: https://us20.admin.mailchimp.com/ ).

  • Your audience/list ID. If you don't know how to find it, click here.



4. Add tags in Mailchimp

To save any field in Mailchimp, you must add the corresponding field tag in Mailchimp (If you're unsure where to add them, click here ). Once your account is connected to Mailchimp, we can send the following customer data to Mailchimp:

  • Customer's email address (Field tag: " EMAIL ")

  • First name (Field tag: " FNAME ")

  • Last name (Field tag: " LNAME ")

  • Diving certification level (Field tag: " CERTLEVEL ")

  • Check-in date (Field tag: " ARRIVAL ")

  • Departure date (Field tag: " DEPARTURE ")

  • Birthday (Fieldtag: " BDAY ")

  • Date of Birth (Field tag: " BDATE ")

  • Customer note (Field tag: " NOTE ")

  • Amount of points from the Customer Loyalty Program (Field tag: " CENTPOINTS ")

  • Preferred language (Field tag: " LANGUAGE ")



5. Customer signs up for newsletter through self check-in

There are different ways for a customer to sign up for a newsletter; alternatively, you can sign them up for the newsletter, which will add them to your Mailchimp account.

A customer can sign up for the newsletter during the self-check-in process by clicking "Yes" for the newsletter.



6. Customer signs up for newsletter when you create their account

When you create a new customer, you can sign them up for the newsletter in the first step of creating the new profile.



7. Customer signs up for newsletter when they already have an account

You can navigate to the customer's dashboard and go to the "contact details" tab.

Here you can sign them up for the newsletter by selecting the "✔" icon.
